Deathscythe Hell Custom (2000)

Gundam Wing was what got me into the overall Gundam franchise in the first place back in 2000. Maybe the show itself hasn't aged particularly well from my perspective, but I still have a soft spot for it anyway.

So of course, back when I was really into Wing, I did a lot of artwork for it of the characters and Gundams alike. This particular one of Deathscythe Hell Custom from Endless Waltz, based off the box art for the HG 1/100 model kit, was always one of my more popular pieces back in the day, probably for obvious reasons. Even though charcoal isn't a medium I've worked with very much over the years, I think it turned out pretty well.

(The odd thing about this drawing's popularity? While I still think it pretty nifty, D-Hell isn't even my favorite Gundam from Wing/EW. That honor actually goes to both versions of Sandrock. But hey, if people like it, who am I to complain?)

I'd offer up a larger, higher-res scan of this, but really...the original piece is 16"x20" and would be a pain in the rear to re-scan, and well, it's charcoal. So this older, lower-res scan is all you're getting.
